hey there. Im looking to add another steering servo to my rampage mt, because it just seems to be so much weight for one servo to handle. I was just wondering, if i have version 1 or 2, will the upgrade kit for dual servos work with my chassy? i looked under where the new servo would go, and theres only 4 holes total, which are being used by a real big box for the battery. Or would i have to drill some more holes?

and just another random question. I saw that theres a new rampage, so technically theres 4 versions. should i expect parts for the regular rampage to start being a lot harder to find?

I believe that's a V1. The V2's came with dual servos. You'll have to drill holes for the new box/servo setup. As far as parts support goes, I have no clue. Rob can answer that one for you.

eeeks, ill be nervous to drill those holes lol..i just ask cuz i was thinking of selling my rampage, and put the money towards the new one. But people are very cheap online, and i wouldnt get much at all.

I was wondering the same question , I have the MT V1 with the V2 upgrade kit , Are parts for this model going to be harder to find, or do i need to start stocking up now

For reference, the V1 MTs had a single steering servo, V2-v3 MTs have 2 while the TTs only have one. Drilling the holes isn't too bad, just take your time and do it right. Center punch the holes, pre-drill small guide holes and countersink the bottoms of them. As far as parts availability, 90% or more of the parts are unchanged between the models so if you have any questions about what will/won't work please PM me or ask via a new thread.

ah thanks. Ill get the mechanic where i work punch the holes for me haha. I wasnt concerned about the parts between each version of the MT's. Its the brand new rampage XT that made me think it would put an end to the older versions :(

Nope, the demand for the Rampage MT is still really high, they wont be going anywhere anytime soon :)

Another question! about a servo. I have a Hitec 5745 thats steering my rampage right now. I heard that if you have 2 servos steering ur RC, to have the same ones. But online i cant find the same servo i have right now. So does anyone know if that one is no longer being made or if theres another one thats basically the same that i could use? thanks!

Hobbyking.com has great deals on 1/4 scale servos and they are great ive used them in my txt-1 puller had them about 2 years no problems and its a heavy truck about 34lb you might look onto it :)

is there a certain type that would replace the 5745 if i couldnt find one? ive never bought or replaced a servo before, still new to the hobby, so im not really sure what to look for.

ya i actually saw that 5745 on ebay as well. Only one though eeks :S. Now, is the 5755 like a whole wack more powerful then then 805BB?, because its A LOT cheaper then the 5755. Id just hope 2 of them can move the tires for the rampage :p . And are they all like a universal size?

so metal gears are better im guessing? :p . AND more expensive :'(. I AM liking the price of the 805 haha
