Its the time of year where I like to be by the water, last year I built a airboat with a large nitro airplone motor.,, And this year I want to built more of an actual boat. I see on yutube and around the net people modding the crap out of weedwhacker motors and using them for boats. My question is, How do you set the drivetrain up for that? The wacker motor typically has what? 1/4 square insert drive for the flex shaft? How do you make that work, or how could you bolt a big ol prop onto that sucker to push some air, for a big airboat?

there are plenty of places that sell large scale boat items ;). some use direct drive (prop attached to a shaft mounted to teh crankshaft, while others prefer the saftey of a clutch driven setup ;)
