my failsafe was kicking in around 10 to 15 yards away from the transmitter, the batts are all charged and the antenna wire seems to be intact. what could be the reasons for this please? also how do I turn the failsafe back on, it disabled easy enough but will not reactivate in like manner? thanks for any help yall can give!

Replace the radio LOL, I'm not sure on the fail safe part of the radio.. I had issuses with the radio that cam with my km 30.5 so I replaced it ASAP with a Hitec and installed a Killer Bee kill switch.. The killer Bee will shut down the engine if the radio goes out. That is my fail safe. There is a lot of guy/girls here that can help you with it. Good luck.. Did your radio come with a CD?

Mike

+1 to that, if you value your investment at all replace the radio system! I like the KM but do not trust the radio system at all.

KM are renounded for dodgy radio's. Do yourself a favour and get a good ,well known make of tranny. It will be more cost affective in the long run.

Yes it has a cd but it's not much help!

Mine came with a CD but was not able to open it.. As the norm most things that come out of China have a very piss pour instruction manuals.. :( I hope someone here can help you, but most of us (75%) of us just dumped the radio gear and used a know brand radio. I always use Hitec gear....

My wife is getting use to the idea that this hobby costs money, it has just cost me a ton up front because of everything I have had to replace on the car some my fault. most was not. but so far I have replaced all the parts with top dollar items, but for the time being I think I will skimp on the radio till I get everything working, then I shall shop around for some good radio gear! I placed an order this morning for a fs-gt2 just to get the car going again, maybe I can get a good radio system in a few months.

thanks for all yalls help and views!:cup-1:

p.s here is the way to set the failsafe if anyone needs to know, I found the info online this morning!

To set the fail-safe:

(Please note there is only a fail-safe for channel 2. 1 & 3 do not have fail-safe)
1. Turn on both RX and TX
2. Hold the throttle (CH2) in the position you want it to be in when fail-safe kicks
in (example: brake position). Alternatively, you can use your throttle trim to put
the throttle in brake mode, instead of holding down the trigger, it’s easier.
3. Press the fail-safe button until it blinks and turns solid again.
4. Test it! Go full throttle and turn the radio off. It should go to brake position

Update

well got the new radio and receiver, it was a faulty receiver. go figure it would be the cheaper of the 2 parts if you order them both! anyway all is good for now, thanks again for everyones advice.
