Sense i got my XB I've had nothing but problems with the shocks all the caps upper and lower keep coming loose I keep tightening them but the same thing happens now for no reason one of the fronts just leak all the oil out I was thinking of trying a pair of shocks from the TT or dune runner on the car I know their longer but I was wondering if anyone has tried to fit a set on an XB and how it works if it doesn't work I'll prob try to find a set from HPI that will anybody have any idea of a good set to use and where do I find them

From my view you have two options. simplest one is to get 4 caps for the Baja 2.0 that come in gunmetal color HPI102154 and the top shock holder HPI85410 which will solve your leaking and loosening issue at the top of the shock, and at the bottom just put one extra "o" ring for a total of four and some blue thread lock. That is what I did to my rear shock which I'm actually running on the front now. The other option is to use the front Baja shocks on the rear but you will have to drill 2 holes on the rear tower 15mm farther inside from the original top holes to accommodate the longer stroke of the Baja shocks, and you will have to also readjust the camber and toe as this latter solution will give the suspension some nice extra travel. Here are some pics of my shocks. first two are the rear shocks, third pic are the stock rear shocks that I am actually running in the front now (notice the mounting holes).hope it helps any.

Thanks camo what site did you get the HPI caps from and how does your car handle with the shock set up you've done a little more ground clearance would be good for me cause I run mine through some pretty ruff stuff

I always buy baja stuff from ebay. My XT handles way better with this set-up than the stock one. on top of that I'm using 20wt baja shock oil front and back with the 16holes piston schoks from the baja (I don't have a single leak on any shock).
