i have a rampage mt and found a good deal on the redcat tuned pipe and was just wondering if it interferes with the body at all.....im running the body on my truck one notch lower than stock on the rear cuz the mount cracked on a roll over on the stock hole...also about how loud is it compared to say the stock can with no stinger?

the pipe will hit the body plus it is alum and it don't last very long when it gets hot they break easy no alum pipe last with the 1/5 scales get a jetpro or cpi pipes they are made out of steal

im well aware of the weaknesses of the aluminum pipe but im gettin it for 20 bux ....i cant afford to throw down almost 200 bux for a pipe right now ....my question is how much contact will it make with the body and if i heatwrapped it would it make a difference?

From past experience I had problems with my lid starting to warp and melt even when I had the stock pipe on my MT. Id say using some sort of heat wrap or alumatape around the area of the tuned pipe would be a good idea to avoid any problems.

I have that pipe before and don't have any problem with the body melting. Just wrap aluminum tape inside the body close to the pipe. But when you ask how loud it is, it's very loud... it is even louder with my ddm side dom and cpi pipes.

do you run the body at stock height or lower? i ended up breaking one of the body posts on the stock position so im running one lower than that now on the rear so im not so sure its gona clear.....i haven't had time to install the pipe yet to find out been to busy with work...i have a feeling im gona have to get a new rear body post b4 i can use it

I am running my body as low as it would allow me to go.

I just remembered guys, I have a Honda CBR1000RR Repsol and the last time I pulled out the side cover to change the oil I saw this like aluminum material glued to the plastic cover the purpose of which is obvious. After 1 hour of riding, the engine gets really hot but it never damaged the plastic side cover. And my exhaust pipe is mounted underneath the seat and have the same aluminum material and my butt never felt any heat coming from the pipe. I wonder if you can buy this stuff and glue it to the plastic closes to the pipe?
