quick carb tuning question

just wondering, can you tune your car whilst it is on a workstand with the wheels off the ground instead of having to drive it up and down or does it need the weight on the wheels?
 
Generally it's not as good, but these are not the hyper-revving engines that nitro engines are, so they'll take full throttle for A FEW SECONDS with no real load, like lifting the truck up.
If it's on a stand, don't forget, it's vibrating a lot, so make sure it's securely located!!
Watch your ears as well - put plugs in or wear headphones.

As Al says you can get it somewhere near but it will still need a tweak when you get in the field. Just make small adjustments to the H & L screws or you will miss the sweet spot! There is a tuning guide as a sticky in the engine section.
