I've been meaning to stop by the local hardware shop and construct my own quick disconnect for the roll cage.

The question i have is, how could I make the front of the cage into a quick disconnect? Would clip pins hold up (similar to what is used to hold the body on), or is there a better way?

Thanks!

the front of the cage just clips into the frame, Still have to use the clips in the fronts, Just cut the rear and install tubes.

Mine screws into the frame near the battery box.

Everytime I need to take the battery out the front of the cage has to come off and I need to take off my throttle/braking servo horn.

TFE did a tut on installing a set of these quik connect tubes, you might pick up a idea off that. i did see a item, and i think Dan has it, it is a bar thats raised in the middle, and it bolts or clips in frame where the front rollcage post go. then the rollgae post go into holes in top of the installed bar and are held with the pins. easy to take front loose then, with the tubes on the back half, if i was doing one, this is what i would gethttp://www.tgndistributing.com/roll-cage-quick-release.html

this mounts up front into existing holes front posts go, then the cage mounts in holes on top
