I believe I can stiffening my spring a little more by twisting the cap downward? This will result in a stiffer spring right? Is this correct or is this a bad idea?

If I twist the cap downward, will the oil start coming out?k.jensen said:it's correct! that you will stiffen your suspension by twisting the cap/adjustmentscrew downward. if it's a good or bad idea is intirely up to you and your driving style. also the oil in your suspension housings, could need to be changed if your running the stock oil. I would recommend to change the oil to w40 shock oil
Yes. You have to bleed them.lamarw1981 said:If u change the oil don't u have to bleed the shock?
No. If you tighten up the shock collar, it won't leak. The collar is there to adjust preload, that's it.chuefengxiong said:If I twist the cap downward, will the oil start coming out?

Adjusting the tension on a spring only changes the ride height- pre-load. On this forums advertiser area, look at Python motorsports. They have an assortment of springs. Not 100% shure - I think the front springs for the HPI 5 B will fit the rear shocks on your XB. Have a good day.chuefengxiong said:I believe I can stiffening my spring a little more by twisting the cap downward? This will result in a stiffer spring right? Is this correct or is this a bad idea?
