ok. so when i bought my 2nd ramp, IMADMAN left a coment that read "Well if you buy #3 the you could name it "WidowMaker" cause your wife's gonna kill you!!!!!!!!" (direct quote).. now, my wife is pretty understanding with my hobby. i told her i was buying a new (#3)rig and she was fine with it as always. sometimes she'll say just wait a week or something, but she never ask's how much it will cost. im very honest with her and sometimes she will see an invoice and just look at me funny or whatever. no biggy. i work, pay ALL the bills and my wife doesn't have to,nor does she work outside the home(no kids either, just us two) we were sitting in McDonalds drive thru and i was talking to her about missing the "diggers dungen" race and i told her that the new 5t cost about $1200.00. her jaw dropped to the floor, her attitude quickly changed, and her exact words were " if you EVER spend $1200.00 on a toy rc, i will buy a gun and shoot you while your sleeping".. :eek: .. that was sunday afternoon. the night before i spent exactly $1,190.00 on my new ramp and upgrades at ddm.. i think im safe, but not really sure. :D .. so neadless to say, my 3rd ramp will be named "THE WIDOW MAKER".. thanx IMADMAN..

my wife has NO idea what I spend on rc or dirt bikes... I have 2 e-maxx's all rpm and going brushless. I now have 2 ramps, mt all alum, she thinks 1100 total, closer to 3k. she doesn't even know about the 2nd one I just ordered... I don't lie to her, I just don't always tell her everything.. and sometimes I may have to bend the truth just a little bit. :D but considering my past life, (before her) as long as i'm not doing anything illeagal or morally wrong involving other woman, she's pretty cool with it. :)


oh ya and in case she would see this, I love you honey and i'm sorry.

nah. she knows how much it costs. she gets the bank statements. i think it was just a warning. she went with me to the bank and even asked how much money i was transfering. i told her.. $1200.00. but the next day when i told her how much a 5t cost, she nearly coused pain with the look that i got.. not sure, but you goto be carefull with them jersey girls..

I get away with that one myself. :eek: I think she almost gave up looking for new stuff, theres too much for her to find thats "new" and she doesn't like being in my shop (thank god).

i could never get away with that. never tried either(i hunny! :o ) i kinda count on my wife to call me when i get a goody box so i can leave work early. plus my hobby room is also here hobby room too. so she'll notice if i have a new shell or pipe and hiding a rig is out of the question..
 
My Job allows me some "extras?" my wife doesn't have a clue what this stuff is worth. It is good that way. She has given up trying to keep track of what I have-krap I don't even know what I have. lol
 
i tell my wife you cant sell it if you cant test it, now i own 6 different red cats, you should see the premium 1/8th scale truggys go, make my revo look like they came from wallmart.

I'm in the same boat, my paycheck is my family and bills money.


All my R/C stuff is bought with money generated from parting with an R/C or archery stuff.


I have'nt seen my paycheck in about 20yrs. LOL!!!!!


Of course you could mickey mouse all 3 radios together and play with all 3 at one time at least she can't tell you you're not making use of them.

Out of my allowance acount I buy pizza, beer, netflix, xm radio, rc, internet. Thats the extras to my life! No cable, no texting (basic phone service), thermostat set to 58/78 winter/summer, no huge car payments (TP Cruiser), no eating out, food shopping on coupons. I don't want to give the man my hard earned $! I try to live below my means which is getting harder every day.
