Well its finally happened, Deeside is now a no go area. :(:(

Today started out to be a very large meet (20+ cars) until the man in Black came along and told us he's had complaints from the Land Owners over the surface damage thats been caused, whether that was true or not we have been told to move on.
I've been running here for 2 years now and as the bash site has grown you could see that the end was nearing.

We shall miss our bash spot a lot thats for sure..

What we now need to do is continue to source the new bash site at the farm in Boughton and get the club up and running proper this time...
 
Bummer. I was planning on coming over next Sunday now Ive got the marder sorted :mad: There is the rossendale models track near me and I don't think it gets much use anymore. Its on the edge of a quarry so no complaints about noise either! Roger at RC Demon used to organise full day meets there then off for a curry & a few too many bevvies in the evening but his website has closed so not sure if he is even doing the Gas Bash events now?? Might be worth a look.

It might be a problem for those not on 2.4ghz cos of interference from a nearby pylon. I knom Ben (Charlieboy) has major issues with twitching up there making it not worth his while running. Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade!! If you do fancy it make sure to wrap up cos its fookin cold on the top of that hill - hats & gloves are a must at this time of yr :lol::lol:
 
i was going to come over today but got man flu, its a real shame but it was allways going to happen in the end the meets are getting bigger by the week, its just been a victim of its own popularity.
 
Hate to hear that guys, I'll really miss your vids from there. There was a guy that showed up to re-stripe the soccer field I run at yesterday while I was there. He didn't say anything, but he also didn't seem too friendly either, we'll see how it plays out I guess.

Well it was on the cards anyway.I was surprised it lasted this long.Oh well,just have to do me scouting bit again.

Is there any way of approaching the person(s) this Man in Black was representing and hitting some form of compromise?
Sounds daft I know, but NOBODY is around and the site is nearly perfect in all respects - pub down the road would have been nice ....

The grass seed idea isn't really as daft as it sounds, and .....

New site beckons. Shame really.

Back to Otterspool Prom for Pete, Pablo and I ..... until 'the Headmaster' returns again!!!
