I am kinda getting into building my own engines. I think its a good idea to have a solid baseline for fuel, the darned pump gas has too many varables - winter-summer formulas - the non ethanol pump gas i can buy has issues in a 2 stroke engine also. Aeromatics - strong solvents that are a cheap way to increase octane- ect, ect. I have been looking at Sunoco 260 gtx. no oxygenates, specific gravity - is safe for 927 castor, octane- [r+m]/2 -98. motor octane is 93. It has a 2 year shelf life. It is not cheap. about $65.00 usd for 5 us gallons. but then, a set of tires costs more than the fuel - engine parts are not cheap either. Any one else on this site run this sunoco 260 gtx? just wondering---
