hey guys what is the best 30.5 reed ported and polished race spec engine we can get for our rampage tt we want power and pace whats your thoughts on engines money no issue just want the best cheers:)

I have other plans in the works. God willing it will crush all these pesky 27.2 and 30.5s hehe :D

Most tracks only have one straight long enough for that much motor. A good running 26 4 Bolt Zenoah is a good chice for racing.

Racing you need a smooth motor throughout the throttle.

I fact I run a 35 bore 30 stroke and I am going to pull it and race with a 26 4 Bolt for the June 4-6 race at the Scrap yard.

As far as race specs though that sounds like a sales pitch . Large scale racing besides (QSAC) is still in the incubation stage and engine rules don't exist yet. Only thing I have seen so for is noise leval on pipes and has to be available to the general public.

I will say this, depending on what OBR tells me, will decide what CC I will be running at LargescaleRcs event june 4-6. I will say it will be over 30.5 less than 62 and bolt right onto a rampage :)

Also take into consideration my rig will be close to 40lbs ready to run.

FYI you might want to test a couple different scnenerios on motor choice on track.

As Rob can chime in those Large Scale Bros (Troy and Scott) plus BOB and Rob Beaman aren't playing they can drive their trucks around the biggest HP engines. This with the fact they also have the home track advantage.

sprint is right. people overpower too often. getting the power down consistently wins races. Power is fun but not always practical. 26-27 is fine with a good pipe. depending on race length, fuel economy might be a consideration too. then you have carb choices to play with.

My truck is not no Jennifer Love Hewit weight category either mine is like a Queen Latifa weight class , but still going to a Zenoah 4 bolt to race with

Ok ok, you guys got me. I will explain what Im thinking of doing hehe :)

I can get a CN35cc engine, fairly cheap (cheap enough this poor boy can buy and tinker with). Its a 4-bolt, 28mm stroke, 40mm bore engine, that has the same bolt pattern as a CY. My plans are simple, get it ported, polished, stroked, stuffed and possibly decked a bit. I will be replacing the bearings with higher quality pieces, and I can get the cylinder replated down the road. My main goal is to be a tad unique. Yes id like to win the races, but I doubt "porky" as my rig is affectionately named, is going to do that.

No worries, I will have a 27.2 4-bolt Zen by then as well.

Porky is gonna be my "have fun" rig, guess I shouldve specified that from the beginning huh :) The TT I got from Catchaser is more than likely going to be my primary race car. It will have an OBR 4 bolt 27.2, just cant decide if I wanna drop that kinda change on a full mod motor or just get a race ported one.

I have already emailed and gotten a response from Sean regarding porting/polishing/stroking/stuffing the 35cc for me. Once I get word from the guy selling me the engine I will get it sent to them. This is a project engine nothing more nothin less. Hopefully it will perform well enough.
