I was reading about the EVO3 on LargescaleRC.com and it says it has 3 diffs 2 open and one locked. I am guessing the center if locked. Is there a way to make it a working diff not locked? All so is there anywhere I can down load the manual on it?
Thanks

It says the one you listed is is for the version 2 is that the same as the EVO3?

How about my questions about the diffs?
Thanks

I am VERY impressed with the MCD models but like anything of quality is expensive. Even the wheels are expensive. Can you use standard FG style wheels and will the offset be correct?

I love the Ultimate but way to much at one clip for me. I am looking more towards the Competition Plus and would up date a little at the time. Other then all the alloy and light chassis what is the difference between the two?
Thanks

from page 13 it is showing the evo3 ultimate

not sure on the locked centre diff ............

the differance between the evo2 and evo3...i think its only the diff

housings and arms with a new chassis:boat:

i have a evo2 M/T listed in MCD M/T section

Thanks for the reply. I talked to Troy at LargeScaleRC.com and even thaw on the listing it says locked diff on the ultimate it comes with a open diff. I was all so informed you can put a open diff on the other models that come with a locked diff.

They are great cars. I have the Evo 2 myself. You don't need all that metal. It looks good and I'm sure it serves its purpose (I changed the radio tray from plastic to metal) but the plastic is tough as nails. I accidentally ran mine through a water culdret pipe and going in it clipped the wheel. The plastic arms were intact. The rose joint broke, but that was easy to replace.

Mine has adjustable front and rear diffs, but i believe the center one is fixed. To tell you the truth, I don't think this should be a decision factor on whether or not you should buy the car. You'll love it... ;)

Troy said to him the ultimate flies better. Sorry to say with all the BIG problems I just found out about my house I just hope I get to stay in the hobby and no way I can afford to buy anything else for a while. :crying: Thanks for your input.

I hope you can stay in this great hobby. What is going on with your house?

I'm sure the ultimate handles like a dream, but you should get what you can for now. Remember you can always upgrade parts as you see fit.
