nice another vw golf owner ive got a 1990 mk1 golf gti cabrio i get about 35mpg from it and its still a nippy little thing and get looks every time its out

They're great little cars, I would buy another one in a second if mine crapped out on me.

Loving the wheels on that Golf!!
Couldn't use wheels like that in UK on a daily basis - they'd be stuffed in a week!
Fed up of odd little scrapes, no matter how careful you try to be.
I've seen 'alloy friendly' kerbstones in USA - schamferred inwards at the top.

I know catching the alloy is my fault, but if you don't get close, someone will catch your door mirror!!
