I have a Chimera coming in the mail and want to get a few things ready,


I can't seem to find details on the radio that comes with it, so I have some questions,


Is the radio a farm out with Redcats name on it or their own in house unit?


Where does the radio set up rate 0-10 zero being junk?


Are the included servos up to the job or should they be replaced if so with what?


I was looking at fail safes, it appears some need a 3 channel receiver, what receiver comes with the Chimera and what is consider a fail safe to be trusted in these beasts?

The factory radio is a 2ch Flysky. I would give it a 5 out of 10. It has great range but not many options. My biggest complaint is that there is no way to set the EPA on ch2.

The factory receiver is a 3ch so there is an available port but the radio does not control it.

It has a built in failsafe but you still need a kill switch.

The stock servos are hit or miss. Most people upgrade as the wear out.
 
EPA would be handy while I date myself a bit I can't recall how many builds I did on gas boats and buggies with the old Magnums with no adjustment,

So on this flyshy can a person get the engine kill fail safe and plug it into that 3rd channel and kill the engine by turning off the transmitter and low cells or glitches will still kill the engine?

Do you happen to know if any servos are wired to just plug in, which brands if any?

Yes the ch3 port can be used for a remote kill switch.

Yes all the servos are plug and play. Hitec and Savox make nice 5th scale servos.
