I was just yesterday writing about how I try to drive safely with my cars. So ofcourse today i experienced first runaway...:omg: I was lucky that car stopped at deep snow. And to the problem.... I drive maybe half tank and almost always receiver starts cutting. First it usually warns couple times and then car doesn't respond steering or throttle. battery is charged full, acoms 2.4ghz and all connections wires etc checked. How about overheating receiver. 10 min break on driving helps but cutting comes back sooner than starting cold. I am using build in failsafe, but it didnt worked like shutting tx.

You should really try to get a kill switch. That is a must on these big cars, it will help allot..

Yes I have ordered killswitch and failsafe is working properly.... It feels total powerloss but always happens after halftank is driven.

Faulty battery in radio (acoms 2.4ghz) or could be acoms 2.4ghz is faulty can you get your hands on another radio system just to do a test to see that its not the radio gear.

I ll bet you more say use a kill switch than those that say don't.

Bottom line:

You Cant Have A Run Away, If Your Motor Isnt Running!

You are right timmah.... could even say that it is only real failsafe for largescale. I might have found solution on my problem. Rx battery replaced with another and at least 20min session without problems. battery case had water on bottom and maybe little MELTING:scared: on bottom. Battery itself was badly rusted. Let see if problem is solved because still battery seems to have good punch in it.

ya, it only takes on funky cell to poop out a pack.

fwiw, i run one baja with a kill switch and one without. SO Far i have only HAD to use the kill switch one time, but do use it alot when tuning up checking rpm and plug colors.

so far ive never had even a glitch on the other one. I have a kill switch here, and i KNOW i should install it soon.
