Just a few laps around the flat track at Cavan with my Rampage beetle.

Other than you need some water that track layout is good for fifth scale got fast big straights and long swept corner to keep the carb cleaned out. You might think of adding or cutting on that jump though to change the angle. It seems to upset your car more times than not. Good vid thanks.

well water is a prob here we have been in a drought for about 10 years now and have only had about 10mm of rain since xmas so if we put water on the track the greeneys will hunt us douwn. yep the jump moves a bit and we have to redo it about once a mounth and its about that time now.
 
i love the beetle shell for the tt.. thats what i'll be getting when i trash mine. what gears are you running? screams down the staights!! are those the stock rims? any trouble with them yet
 
ok the gears are A30,b30,c25,d25 and yes they are the stock wheels I havnt had any probs with them at all. Allthough I have gone through a couple sets of tyres so im thinking of changeing them for hpi wheels.
 
Hey simsy would it be possible for that body to sit any lower? Also I have been lookin at the FG leopard buggy body , do u think it woud fit, is ti the same length and with as the Beetle? thnx
 
I think without the side pipe you could get the beetle body about 1inch lower. the leopard body looks good the only concern would be the front bulk head, I will try to have a look at one when i can to see if it would fit.
 
thanks simsy. i got a good deal on a leopard and a beetle body . I run the MCD jetpro rear mount pipe so i think they'll both be really godd fits.
 
Well the local supplier dosnt have a lopard body in stock for me to look at, apparently they arent very popular in Aus so sorry but if you got a good deal then its still worth it. If it dosnt work you could allways sell it on ebay.


Oh and post some pics when you fit it so we can all see how it fits.
