Hi everyone, my son and I just purchased a Rampage XT and have a few questions.

We have performed the break in and have opened it up a bit and the machine is awesome.

The problem we have experienced is the silicone connector that attaches the tail pipe to the muffler has already broken.

Is it okay to run the machine with the tail pipe off? We have run it like this but it seems to get hot and will not idle after 5 minutes of hard driving. It's next to impossible to restart until it cools, sometimes for an hour or more.

Any suggestion would be great. We have run approximately 8 tanks of fuel to date.

Looking at purchasing another if we can work out the problems. Thanks!

I use radiator hose on my custom pipe and is a inexpensive solution... Do not run it like that with a busted cupler. The motor needs back pressure to run correct! You run the risk of sucking debris into the engine and could cause massive damage to the mill. Get a few feet of radiator hose for 5$ and replace as needed ...maybe every 10 sessions.

More then likely you need to vent the tank the tank is getting pressure after you run for the 5 mins which is not allowing it to crank until after the motor has cooled down which has sucked the pressure out of the tank by then. So venting the tank will take of this. Running without the silicone is ok it is just to direct the oil off the car anyway so that part will be fine.

The silicone and the "Tail Pipe" are just there to get the oil out of the way. It doesn't hurt the engine to take it off. I trash my stock muffler and at least go with a Catbox.

I would say you need to vent the tank for the 5 minutes run time deal.
