So I received my Rampage MT today so I took a trip to my brother's " mwoods269 " house to install my components and compare to his rampage MT that arrived 2 days before mine.

We both installed the following products:

DDM exhaust Pipe - Mikes was chrome and mine was black

Super Bee Gas Kill Switch

HiTech Servo - HS-645MG

Lock Tight on all important areas

We did a complete video on the un-boxing and items inside at [ame=

We got everything dialed in and decided we just had to take the trucks out. While my brother was trying to keep his truck started I was taking mine around slow and easy. After a few low laps I just had to gas her a few times. After almost taking my niece out "sorry girl" I took one last lap around and ended up flipping the truck " 3 rolls at least" which landed on it's side. My brother drove his truck next time mine and did a slick move to push it right side up. I gave it some gas but had no steering. Here is the results:

Front Body Post = Broken, Plastic Body = Cracked, Front Right Steering Assembly = Broken. I found all parts need for replacement except the steering assembly part. It's not even listed with a number in the manual.

Also with the DDM pipe installed I noticed it is WAY to close to the gas tank and with the heat it melted the cap "just a little" so I will be taking the gas tank out and placing it back in with the cap on the right side of the truck.

I had also purchased the Bow-Tie Off-Road Tires mounted on Desperado rims Front Part # 1150-13

Rear Part# 1151-13

I'm really not happy with the tires as I think they are way too small for our trucks compared to the factory rims/tires. I also did not know that the front set are very thin and the rear is larger. I opened both packages but did not mount them as I hope I can return them.

Check the pictures out below and let me know what you think.

Man sorry for your sad story, my 2 cents yeah gas tank should be turned the other way and bow ties u could have 4 rear tires, thats what I am using on my mt and like then a lot.

i've got a set of the same wheels and tires , just the back ones, actually i mean all 4 are the same as your bigger 2 ,they work really well on our LHS's flat dirt oval track but they do look a little small compared to stock for sure. i also have a set of trenchers on split six's. you'll find that they are probably what you really had more in mind. if you get the rears they are pretty close to the same diameter as stockers. as tall but no where near as wide. sorry about you breaking your new baby but i'll bet you're someplace where it's as cold as it is here. the cold weather makes our normally almost indestructible big butted beasts into brittle fragile little babies. 1 easy rollover will usually take your body out. don't worry though it's a whole different story once it warms up. a lot of guys on here run theirs in the snow, that's great, probably a blast to do but i've got mine put up until it can turn back into the bad mammer jammer i love it for and i miss it. come on spring !!! and about your gas cap. most people who use the dom pipe turn their fuel tank around the other way. not that hard to do. read the posts on here about doing this and you'll find that most of what you have to remove will come off as one assembly. about a 1/2 hour job. anyways good luck with your new addition. it's cheaper than crack, LOL ,it ain't illegal, and it most likely won't kill ya. put it back together bust it up again and than do it over. heck that's half the fun of these things.

hey pretend i'm posting some real important info or asking another of my dumb questions but i had to post one more time tonight since i noticed i just hit 200 and had to break that cherry.

oh ya! that 1/2 hour job of changing your tank around may take a little longer now. i forgot you already have your pipe installed. i did mine beforehand.

i got to get off here. it's ether to late or i took 1 to many voyages with captain morgan tonight because i just realized that you said in your original post that you were planning on switching your tank around. pardon me and good nite to all. hic-cup! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

I'm using Proline Desperado rear 5B (2707-03) rims with Rovan knobby tires. The tires are a copy of the Hostile MX tires. I'm not sure if the are bigger than the Bow Ties.

Can't say much about the Rovans because I haven't had a chance to run the truck since I installed them but from what I've read they hold up fine.

As mentioned previously, flipping the tank around is a requirement with that pipe :)

My pipe is really close to the roll cage as well so I'll stick some aluminum tape on the cage and hopefully it will reflect enough of the heat to keep it from melting.

jwood if your in hanover your not that far from kennett square. there's a track that race 1/5 scale trucks and buggies there. i can't remember the name but if you google the town and r/c you should be able to find it.

Thanks. I may look into this once I get some driving skills. Right now I drive like I have 4 wheels in a straight line with a 40k gal tank of water going side to side. It is not pretty.

RCDAD,Is their an aluminum server/saver steering complete set anywhere?
050014 aluminum servo saver but I think you will have to buy to sets in order to make dual servo.

Check rc dad web site he got the cool $hit in there.

Rcpitstop.net

Check the trenchers as blak jak said I think you will like they are taller then bow ties but no wide as the stocks ones got them on the xt and they do the job nice.

That is correct. There currently is not a aluminum dual servo saver, but with two kits there is more than enough parts to build a dual.

Thats DAD. Order placed for

Qty 2 - 050014 Aluminum Single Servo Saver

Qty 2 - 050015B Aluminum (Blue) Body Post

Great pricing btw. Now I must decide to buy a new lid or not. Maybe practice painting etc and some more un skilled driving then buy a new lid.

It will be processed right away.

As far as painting. I practice technique on the inside of 2 liter bottles. Cut empties in half. Clean the inside, remove the label from the out side and you have nice little practice bodies to work on.
