Hello All, I've had my Rampage for 4 months now and it's been running very strong. The last few weeks it's been bogging off the line and kindof bogging here and there, After getting a new fuel tank and lines.. spark plugs it didn't really change much.. So I decided to rebuild the Carb. And now it bogs worse than ever. The low speed is fine, and always has been fine, it's only when the high speed kicks in that it bogs and now it's so bad it shuts the car off.

Any ideas?

Mods are DDM pipe, and 990 Carb. Also this is a 32CC motor

Here is a video of what it's doing.

Thank you for any help

Flooded. And that video is set to private, so I could not see it. Pull the spark plug, pull the pull start a few times, wait for an hour or so, then try again with the factory setting on your carb and an NEW plug. That should do it, unless you have a bigger problem. Good luck.

Sorry about that, I changed the privacy setting so hopefully you can view now. Whats the gap on the plug supposed to be? Thank you for your help

Got it started.. I had put the carb diaphragm upside down and also blocked the pulse port.. now it starts easy again but still bogging and surging under WOT.. however I believe my head gasket has gone because I noticed some black oil on my gas tank and my pipe is tight. My question now is what head kit should I get since this is a 32CC not a 30CC rampage? Or does that not matter?

I wrote Dave motors and this is what he said.. this doesn't look good for me.

I understand that they have a new 2 bolt 38mm bore engine. This is new and unlike any other engine we have. The 32cc engine that we stock from Zenoah is a 4 bolt motor. We don't have any head gaskets for your engine.

thanks

Steve

The gasket is the same as 30.5 CY. The markings on the cylinder are still 30 36. Which is a huge mistake and Redcat will remedy for the next shipment.

Okay i'm a little confused than. So can I just order the 30CC gasket? Because I definitely need a head gasket. I really wanted to do at least a piston ring and crank gasket as well while I'm in the motor.

Should I be okay with getting a 30CC ring and crank shaft seal as well?

Again thank you for all your help guys.

here are a few items you might consider...

-->in the vid its gas starved , the low requires a tiny amount of gas , in transition there's just not enough gas, and to confirm no matter how open you have the hi end adjusted does same thing. something is clogged ...OR pulse is covered by gasket upside down.

the leak , if the PIPE is leaning on the head without decent support, its just gonna beat it up, if not break it. support it , check head torque. if continues replace gasket .

seems early in engine life for head gasket/ ring. and way early for any bottom end problem, unless its ran considerably without air filter.

well mixed fuel ratio 25:1, hi quality 2 stroke mix , and CLEAN. the screen in carb may still be clogged since you have fresh tank/line. carb/ fuel flow problem it seems, lets know how it goes, hope this helps

Thank you for the help, but the head gasket is definitely gone. I can see the oil coming out of the gasket.. but thank you for the rest of the info.. all good info!
