Guys, just thought I would share on my very first mod to my MT. Since I am really not a big "Chevy" fan, I've decided to do something about the grill on the body. I feel that not only is this mod a personal one but realize afterwards that it's actually a great idea for a few reasons.


1. I can now add lights behind the grill, I am thinking LEDs...oh yeah!!!


2. The other benefit of this open grill is that fresh air is able to enter right into the air filter now.


Here are a few pics. showing what it looks like, I basically use a 5 min. epoxy on a piece of window screen that I cut to size. Not sure if someone has already done this to theirs but thought I would share this idea.

Nice work my friend!!! I like the look but I'm not a Ford guy

You here beginning this fall, Ford is installing heated tailgates?!! That way your hands don't get cold when pushing them home!!
 
Looks good! I would consider reinforcing that area, as well. The bodies aren't very durable to begin with, and removing material like that will just weaken it even more.

HaHa...loving the comments. Thanks for the replies. I am actually a Dodge guy, I currently own a 01 2500 cummins 4x4. Wish they made a Ram body.....

LOL....ok but seriously, other than the "FG" Ford body...what others out there will fit our trucks?
