hi i just bought a rampage yesterday, drove it around for about 15 minutes, and put it up, later that day went to start it i had no fire to the plug, so i went back to the store we put a new magneto on it, and it fired right up, drove it around for about 15 more minutes, everything seemed fine. put it up and about 3 hours later went to start it and the new magneto isnt firing now, so i have a 650.00 rc that i have got to run 1/2 a tank of fuel in and went through 2 magnetos. does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening to me? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go ahead and reset the mag with a business card, and try again. Don't be to surprised that the plug is no good even if there is spark. I bought 5 at one time and 2 were no good. I just started my TT after a year or so just sitting in storage, it was running great before I stored it. I put new fuel/oil mix in it and it wouldn't start after about an hour of trying. I flooded it a few times and ended up pulling the plug and letting it sit over night to dry out. Next day, reinstalled the plug, primed it and started right up on the 2nd pull.

i had similar problems with mine untill i learned how to start it. choke on-prime 3 times-pull untill it trys to start-choke off-pull till it starts(usually first pull) i also recall having to play with needle adjustments and cleaning the plugalot untill it was fully broken in. i kept the roof plate off of it untill it was tuned and starting good to make it easy to pull out the plug. since then it never fails to start. i still have my o.e. plug in it for over a year now. one more thing is that if you are running a stock engine,be sure not to run 93 octane fuel. 87 is perfect for a stock engine with stock comperssion. 93 requires higher compression to fire properly
 
hey bud i took it to a small engine shop today, and it was that kill switch was stuck closed and i didnt see that cause of the little rubber cover over it, i felt like a complete dumbass, lol. but the guy at the shop tuned the settings on it for me and it seems to be fine now. well im not totally sure of that haven't started it since we got back home, but ill keep you posted. thanks for your reply thought.

Chris... its not a laughing funny... but I did get a little chuckle reading this. I am glad I did as I hope to store in the memory banks just in case I have any problems. I can easily see me doing it too as Rob mentioned!

yea my button was sticking all the time so I pulled of the cover off and took a knife and scraped outward on all 4 sides several times and that loosened it up to where it doesn't stick any more, it might work for yours.
