Is there any better receiver packs you can get for the mt?

Yes, DDM, Venom, and others make 3-5000+ packs and then there are Lipo reciever packs if you don't have enough power.

Search the forum then you can decide what will work from other people's experiences with the packs your researching.

how can you hook up the new receiver pack and be able to turn it on and off like you can with the stock one since the plug ends are different?

just file down the edges of the plug it will fit or just change the plug on the battery.

Or change the switch to one with the same plug.

where can you get a switch? I have never done much with switching wires, id be afraid id mess it up.

Its not hard at all red to red black to black, but if you don't want to mess with the wires the easiest is just to file down some or the plug it will only be the plastic part it will not be the contacts inside.
