Just about all of the bent Rampage MT chassis that I have seen bend just behind the front diff. Adding a roll cage helps prevent the bending but has anyone attempted a tube chassis for the MT? A new MT chassis on EBay is $90

I know it is alot of work and probably not alot of weight saved but as far as being rigid and able to incorporate a roll cage with it would be pretty sweet. I have an MT and I may attempt to build a tube chassis. There would have to be some solid plates on it for the engine, diffs and some skid plates but it would be cool.

yep, i built a chromemoly cage originally for my pig as seen here

it sat gathering dust never to be used again for a year or so, so i robbed the driveline off it and built this hillclimber, again using chmoly tubing.

I agree, lets see some more Rampage MT's with tube chassis. I am planning on one for mine. It's got the SC tires and wheels and I am planning on a look like the Terible Herbst Truggy here

The newer black Monster version with the shark is also cool. I know it won't be exact but I have access to a machine shop (2 brothers work at Novak in UT, they machine Jeep parts) and with the tube chassis I will be able to change the suspension and driveline a little bit. Which brings me to a question...

Are the A-Arms on the Baja longer than the Redcats?
