Hello everyone,I'm new on the forums and will be getting my rampage mt v3 in a week.ive been doing a lot f research as I was torn between the xt and mt,xt looks much faster but with the wieght difference I can see why.so anyway my plan is to put ddm Dom on and then 8k clutch right off the bat, thinking about gettig a k&n filter...anyone try that? Does it work well?

Also down the road I may try a head kit,I have a redcat vortex ss and a aftershock 3.5 so I'd like to eventually achieve the speed te Norris have.anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe different gears?

Re: Rampage mt v3

The k&n is a big no as you need a oiled filter to protect engine. The air filter you want is the Hpi baja filter. Fits right on minis linkages. Either change linkages or trim filter or you can do what I did get a shread industries shreadstack it angles filter up over linkage. A ddm dom will wake that motor up and I wouldn't recommend higher gearing unless you up the power. Or change tires for baja wheels and then the gearing and possibilities are endless. A ported motor or a new top end from esp would wake it up even more. Good job on the 8k spring also it helps. And get a killer bee man!!! Servos aren't the greatest with the throttle servo that goes first and a good replacement is a hitec 645 or 5645 and steering a hitec 5765. Btw WELCOME!!!

Welcome..

The Pipe and Clutch will be a great start for performance.

Make sure you install a kill switch before your first run.

A throttle/brake servo will be needed in the very near future.

I recommend the bearing holders from 7075RC. The wheel bearings are a bit undersized for a truck this big.

Also any good sites to get parts and hop ups from? New to 1/5th been basically looking at ddm and rampageshop but can't get rampageshop stuff in Canada I don't believe

Thanks

I didn't know 7075 made parts for the mt ? Lol
My bad. I thought the XT was being purchased. I guess I need to slow down and re-read. Too much coffee this morning. LOL:rolleyes:

Would tgn easy clearance filter with a shredstack be suggested? And is the stock filter and servos somthing that Be changed right out of box? Sorry if these questions are "rookie" questions just wanna be sure I make the correct choices
