I bought my truck a couple months ago brand new ..it would not stay started an when it did i goea slow..have messed my fingers up trying to start it..do anyone have an idea what i an doing wrong

Sounds like you need to set the carb needles back to stock 1+1/4 turns on the low needle and 1+1/2 turns on the high needle.
You can search you tube for tuning vidoes.
Also screw the idle screw in a little to keep it running while you tune it.
It's probably flooded from trying to start it so spray a little starter fluid through the air filter and it should start.
