I mounted up the roll cage I bought from Hamster Huey and used the old original bashed MT body. Now for my new redneck vehicle:

It's a great cage, no flex at all with the chassis!. Plus, it's easier just pulling the cab on and off! :D

I cut some lexan and put in on the back of the rollcage, it's yellow, I just need to paint it black. I'll throw another pic of it up some time this weekend.

Nice cages! Here's a few 4130 chomoly cages I did back in the day. The first two are low-profile cages which hug the engine. The 2nd is a cage I made for a guy in Denmark that was running a VRC side pipe for a MCD. Last is the FG Baja 4x4 cage. All the cages are quick release in that you pull 4 pins and remove two chassis bolts to yank em off.

Nice cages demon. Welding is something I would love to learn to do.
I've always wanted to learn also. About 2 years ago I picked up a Lincoln 140 MIG off of Craigslist for about $200. I got the basics down with help from my brother-in-law, watching YouTube, and alot of practice. I just picked up a Lincoln TIG setup and I'll be working on that as soon as I get some time. It's a great thing to know how to do. Nothing is better than sitting in the garage welding up a rollcage with a cooler full of beer and some good music.

Self taught here too. And amen brother on the welding, cooler full of beer and music.

Well, the cage is kick ass but my redneck body has finally cracked to complete hell.

I mounted an old Firehammer MT body on it. I had to cut the wheel wells out so it somewhat looks like it will fit.

Yeah, it's purple. Not my choice though. LOL
