Nice vid! Was the red truck a Nitro? Kinda sounded like one. The other vid does not work.

Looks like everyone was having a good time.

What is your set-up? Wheels/tires eng./pipe and gearing?

Thats something like I would do. I have 8 tall rubber cones I got at Lowes for $60, smaller cones, and 12'' track dots. Theyre all bright orange. It is fun by myself but would be more fun with friends. Their are people who RC around here but the ones that arent jerks arent into the same RC as me. Im into mainly 1/5 gas and 1/8 brushless.

2nd vid should be up now.

Ya the red truck was an LST. I ran bowties. Most of the 5t/5b guys ran Nightmares or Escavators. The 2nd place in the final was SVO from the HBF and he ran bowties too. That goes to show you something about bowties. I ran 29/31 gearing in the qualifying and 31/29 in the final. This was my first run on my engine I ported the night before. I opened up the xfer ports coming in from the crankcase quite a bit. The ports and gaskets were also matched. Also, I ran the side dom.

Ya we had to do the cone thing. It was a blast too. Of all places... Houston, one of the largest cities in the country can't come up with a 1/5th scale track :(

It has excellent low-end by looking at the video, I thought it would be behind at the start, but once you cleared the clusterfub it was pretty smooth sailing.

Ya I was suprised too. I got at least 9 pounds over those guys. I was running my new rollcage which I build from solid 5/16" rod. It's freaking HEAVY. Maybe that tall Z-RC intake and the 813 are doing what they are supposed to do. My crankcase porting sure seemed to put more low end kick into it too. We did some drag racing after the main race. I got more punch off the line than anybody and kept up on the high end with the 2 fastest guys. Overall the Rampage kicked some ass today.

What's even better is that I ran for 5 hours and didn't break 1 thing.

Naw actually it went really well. Alot of guys were interested in it. Turns out they didn't love their HPI's as much as they did the previous 15 minutes HAHA.

I am happy to see that you beat those cars.

I knew when I got my Redcat that It was a better track car than a Baja/5T.

I like Bajas/5T too, but the TT is a better car overall.

I am working on my setup, not done yet but close.

how were you guys counting laps? i saw a guy with pen and paper. are you sure you werent Greasin that guy for a few extra laps? i love the looks on there face at the end. kinda like "what the hell is that thing"

Give yourself some credit, the TT didn’t drive itself. ;) Cool video and it looks like everybody had a good time.
Ditto, not putting our Cat's down but I'm sure you would have beat the Ramp with one of those guys driving it and you were driving a 5B/T. Plus it seems you did some exponentials on your radio! One guy had a DX3R so he had NO excuses.

I would have done really well with my Baja. I had it out there first to see how it did. I think I would have done well if I drove it. The Rampage was running great plus I wanted to show those guys other things existed besides the dam Baja's at a reasonable price. Just about everybody was suprised when I told em you can pick one up for $650.

So... after the race... and counting today... did any of them or ARE any of them ordering a Rampage after they saw how bad they got their asses handed to them?

I love the shame I get put on by other people for going with Redcat! Soon as I fire it up and hit the field or yard or the sandlot, their jaws drop and shut the hell up

Nice video, but running against 2 wheel drives with a 4 wheel drive?
What's your point? Aren't there both 2wd and 4wd in the same CORR race? Aren't the best rigs in tractor-pulling 2wd? The GNCC quads are 2wd. I think it's all preference and driver skills.

I think the CORR are seperate from 2wd to 4wd. Other than that, driving skills are really what matters on any kind of racing.

Thanks, I stand corrected. Stupid Carl Renezeder screwed me up. Races both classes.
