Rampage vs. MCD

The Rampage is just like any other car in that it will break eventually. I think Redcat has come a long way with the Rampage XT/B platform and I'm happy with the way my vehicle has been holding up. We R&D with a XB and Evo4. Personally, I like the XB better. I might be a little biased since I know what new hopups will be coming out for it this year.

As for the MCD Evo4, all I have to say is that it's a great vehicle. Quality and handling are top notch. I will have to add that we've blown several of their high dollar diffs while R&Ding our belt system. We've also seen a few shocks go kaput. It just goes to show you that we're in a hobby where our toys get beaten day in and day out. Things will break no matter what we buy and no matter how much money we want to throw at a name brand.

In the end just buy what you like, what fits your budget, and what you would rather work on because in the end you WILL be in the garage working on it reguraly no matter what you buy.

hi i have an MCD ultimate version 3...i can say that since i built it, the only trouble ive had is the engine......ive ownied it for about 2 years..an had many tanks through it..........

well put demon i agree 100 % i have had many 1/10 & 1/8 scale trucks none of them are bullet proof even all aluminum will fail eventually. i myself took a low budget angle on my first 1/5 scale buggy i will mod the crap out of it any way so it dosent realy matter. but i continue to be impressed by the xb red cat
