I believe I'm close on the tuning but every once in a while it wants to die after full throttle. Should I richen it up or lean it out?

Is your tank vented?

It has a small pen hole in the gas cap from factory. What do you recommend? Sometimes I can hear a hiss sound until you take off the cap.

Then that is your problem. You can either add a extra hole in the fuel tank grommet to run a line, or add a vent line to the cap. Here are some examples.

Snappy rc has the 3 hole grommet that works well I have it on all 5 of mine. I think it keeps it cleaner

The cap version is hardware store parts.

DDM sell the fittings in the grommet. You don't need to use the fittings you can just drill an extra hole and insert a piece of tube.

The tank vent is a very smart move! You will notice that it runs better than it ever has. It did with mine anyways your xt is cookin dude

I bought a fuel line kit for a chainsaw from Home Depot for 3 bux.

Wow right through the tank. What kind of fitting penetrates the tank?

I never thought I'd use that word when discussing RCs. LOL

No fitting, just a small hole and Tygon line. Completely leak proof and cheap.
