Hello everyone. This is my first RC Gas Truck and I am still not able to even take this cool looking truck out for a spin. I followed all the instructions and also read a lot of info on this site. I filled her up with 25:1 using echo two cycle oil and medium grade fuel. It started right up with the choke full open. I then gradually closed choke as I gave it time to warm up. Engine shuts off... I open the chock and it started right up. I then adjusted choke to a point were it was idling nice. Figured I would let the engine run for a full tank of gas. I then filled it up again and attempted starting it. Fired up but I am not able to close the chock completely. Other things I attempted was venting the gas cap but that didn't help. Tried also adjusting the low speed screw a little and this speeds up the engine a little but it will nut run with the choke totally closed. PLEASE HELP.

When you adjust the low speed clock wise [a little at a time, it's leaning the mix] the rpm at idle will rise.

Then backout the idle screw to lower the idle rpm.

Also check radio trim settings

from what you have said you have something backwards the choke should be open to run if your wording is wrong. then you need to turn the idle screw clock wise some more

My apologies if my wording is wrong. Choke being closed is when lever is down right?... I have tried the adjusting the low adjuster but that doesn't help.I also checked the radio trim and I don't believe that's the issue and it's turned fully counter clockwise. The engine is suppose to idle without any influence of the throttle servo right? I think I have to call Red Cat. Will they send me another truck if this one is defective. All I did was start the thing up. Could it possible be that 25:1 is to much oil? I do see a little oil splatter ( little block dots on the rear of the truck).

25/1 is fine

Choke closed/open...closed cuts air, to get fuel into the motor, then open to run.

The choke is closed till it tries to start, then open and it should start in a few pulls.

What position is the lever in when its open? Facing up or facing down? Truck will not idle when the lever is facing down which I believe is open. Calling Red Cat tomorrow.

Pull the cover off your air filter and look and see in the choke butterfly leaver is open. When open you engine can run,but only if your throttle blade is open up a little.
