I have tried two different Ramtech Generic killswitches with a GT3B to no avail. I have set the endpoints to 120% tried trims in about every configuration I can think of and it still won't kill the engine with the 3rd chan button. Also, the first one I had would randomly kill the engine as I was running. I would welcome any input to help me figure this thing out...

the ramtec killswitches are chinese knock offs. killer bee killswitches are the ones most people run. the gt3b could be an issue to not sure.

The 3rd channel switch will not kill the engine you have to turn the remote off then it will kill the engine. If it randomly kill the engine that is more of a spark plug issue you will need a NGK plug.

Running a NGK CMR7H at the moment. Why is it that the 3rd channel won't kill it?
(turning off the tx does kill it though)

because on the flysky there is not a way to set the 3rd channel as off it still will have power so therefore it will not kill the engine but if you have lights hooked up to the third channel it will turn them on and off.

If its a 3 channel radio, and the kill switch is plugged into the Aux spot on the receiver, flipping the Aux switch should kill the engine.
I would contact the place you bought it from.

Forget the 3rd channel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't powering off transmitter the same effort .
Ramtech rc kill switch wrorks great. Great customer service as well, great price compared to other $60 kill switch. I like mines.

You mean turning off the transmitter power to kill the engine? Yes that should kill the engine, but it's best to use the Aux button to kill the engine, because when you turn off the transmitter power you loose control of the steering and throttle. If possible, pressing the Aux button is better. It kind of depends what radio and kill switch you have. The cheaper ones have less flexibility and options.

Welcome to the forum. How long have you been into large-scale RC?

Crazi,
Going off of my experience with many of the 2.4ghz systems, powering off the TX will also initiate the failsafe mode...hard on your servos with continued use. I will say, resetting your failsafe to the amount of braking and steering input you want it to have would go a long way in saving some wear and tear on your servos. The "factory" failsafe settings will ignore any endpoints you have set for your steering and brake. I set up all of my nitro cars and trucks to steer a little left and give about 50% braking. The baja I have set to 75% braking without steering input.
That said, you've only addressed half of the problems I had with that killswitch. Even with a Glitch Buster installed, it was randomly killing my engine. Glad to hear that it works in it's current state for you. I decided to cut my losses and move to the Killer.

Hi guys,
I've been playing with gasser for over a year now, started with the baja and now a dbxl. You are correct that fail safes may putt more stress on the servos.
