Hey Guys,

I finally did a range test on my setup. Wanted to see if having the Spektrum

telemetry system connected affected my range, yes it did:mad:. With the telemetry

connected my range was 200-210ft. Without it the distance increased to 300-320ft.

I'm using a DX2 converted to DX3 with an SR3001 receiver.

Is this normal range for a 2.4ghz system? I could barely see the truck at that

distance but I might be going blind...

Got the test on video.... :)

Thats normal for spektrum 2.4s. Your lucky if your not also burning out servose plugged into the spektrum RX, or constantly getting stuck in binding or failsafe mode, and range sucks. I had every spektrum RX and TX (even spektrum modules for futaba and hitec, etc) they made up to the dx3r. When that came out I got it because it was supposed to be the best spektrum ever. That was the last spektrum I bought. I had way too many problems even with it. I have not found a spektrum that works yet.

This is the first Spektrum surface radio I've used but I have had plenty of them

for my helicopters and never an issue. I also read so many stories of people

having big-time issues which is unfortunate. My radio is a DX2 converted to

DX3 and it came with receiver plus the telemetry system. At the time I didn't

have a bunch of mula to drop on a radio so when this setup came along for $100

shipped I took my chances... :)

Would've preferred to buy a Futuba but maybe next time... :)
