ive been working for the past few months with a friend at Razor Customs developing a line of scx10 parts. with the chassis ready for production i figured it was time to show off our test rig. it starts off with our all billet aluminum chassis. the chassis can be used as a direct replacement for the factory scx10 chassis, all the axial parts will bolt right on. this rig is utilizing our front trans mount conversion, mounting the motor and transmission up front allowing for more clearance for an interior. the transfer case is a prototype design, it allows for gear changes to give an overdrive, underdrive or direct gear ratios, giving more flexibility. the suspension is a 4 link using billet 4 link brackets. these brackets also allow a 3 link to be used, giving more flexibility in design. the truck is rolling on rc4wd 1.55" tires and custom machined 2 piece wheels. a traxxas xl2.5 esc, axial 27 turn motor and hitec 645 round out the electronics, and its all topped with a proline jeep body.

Certainly looks like a lot of work, but does it come with a wheelie bar?
That motor at one end will raise the C of G a lot, and put a lot of weight over the wheels.
Just a thought - perhaps a Low C of G option?
Al.

the front mount transmission is an option, the chassis was first designed to run the trans in its stock location. the reasoning to go with the front motor/trans is purely for scale, it allows the end user to run a full interior kit as the motor is no longer in the way. yes it does raise the cg a bit, but it doesn't seem like a huge issue. and no wheelie bar, its a scale truck. typically they run a 27 turn brushed motor, so they don't have huge brushless power.
