RC delima and nephew

So my nephew is about 12 years old. he stays with me a lot and enjoys running the cars with me. about a month or so ago he told me he wanted an rc of his own but he wants a rock crawler. I said ok lets look at some, we picked a kit out and that was that. well I have a beat up old but still runs good nitro truck he runs every time he comes over. I was going to sell it for a few dollars to help pay for the rock crawler untill he found out and got upset. so I gave him a choice the nitro or the rock crawler. he chose nitro. he took it home for a week and brought it back to run it. he crashed it and snaped the bumper off. later that night he said go ahead and sell the nitro, I think I would rather have the rock crawler. I said ok no problem I'll just repair it or sell as is and we'll get the rock crawler. A day went by he was outside playing and came back in and said you know, instead of a rock crawler, get me an Ipod. WHAT A IPOD?? My whole point of getting him a rc was because it was something he enjoyed and something we shared and to get him more into the hobby.
 
ipod was never a option,my kids they have some of the mini revo's and summits, electric or nitro they chose electric and that was the end of it,they don't use them as often now, but from what you said he thinks your getting him whatever he wants,not what he was playing with from the beginning, your getting scammed by your own nephew,LOL, has nothing to do with love, just a kid trying to get over on you,haha good luck with that

Your right Ipod was'nt an option. I do love my nephew he is a trip,But Its not his birthday, Its not Christmas, and definetly not Burgerking he doesn't get it the way he wants it. so we'll see how this plays out:cool:
