I wouldn't use them if threading into aluminum. I've had some snap at the head when trying to remove them.

I've never had an issue.

When using any steel bolt in aluminum you are supposed to use anti-seize. I always use a dab of blue loctite. Maybe that is what has kept me from having that headache.
