RCR pipe body cut out ideas

RCR pipe on, but the stinger comes out inside the body by the tailgate or the body. Will this eventually melt the shell or should I trim the body....would hate to, my shell is pristine...

they make some great tape for insulating things like hot pipes. a lot of the auto parts stores carry it. you could try wrapping your pipe with it and maybe extend your stinger with high temperature silicone tubing like the stuff they use for couplers on other brand pipes. most likely though if your talking about the redcat aluminum pipe you won't have it long anyway. they tend to melt or become damaged in a very short time. you never know. maybe your luck will be better than mine.
