Ok, so the flex in the chassis cracked off my mount tab for the Sprint77. Do you guys think a steel one piece roll cage will help stop the chassis flex if it is mounted to the shock towers at both ends?

moo's is like that and seems to stop flex. I have a sprint77 cage comming but it mounts in the stock frt location and has no rear braces so i'm a little concerned about that... I think as long as I can get some rear braces along with the cage it will do the job. otherwise i'll have to get it modded so it ties the chassis together and eliminates flex.

I made a roll cage that has four mounting points on the chassis and it also attaches to both diff housings. So far it has held up and I haven’t had any issues with the chassis flexing.View attachment 922View attachment 923View attachment 924View attachment 925IMG_1108.webp

going from tower to tower is the way to go and tied to the chassis like pwaicons, I have to make another cage for my TT out of 4130 chmoly steel 3/8 tube this time, light and strong.

if you can, get the 4130... it'll gas weld or tig/mig.

I have never worked with 4130 but I have been thinking about making a roll cage for my Leopard using it. However, I have a question on how get the bends in it. Do I heat the 4130 to get my bends or is there a tool I could buy to bend it? I am assuming a hand held tubing bender wouldn’t work on 4130.

Maybe something like this Str8tjailbird here is some pics of one I am working on for myself and most likely Rob for the diggers dungeon race.
