Ok 2 min into the race no jumps yet just warmup and FAIL. More support over rear bearing pinion is needed for sure or bigger bearings and more plastic support. Hopefully V2 will have that. Cordy had the same failure. I took it apart , pinion gear is worn out ,diff gear is on the edge of fail . So i need pinion.diff gear, bearings and plastic enclosure.

10 tanks thru the buggy and gear&diff. failure.

Well you didnt loose your innards, but they are wore out. I on the other hand lost all my innards.Guess we are rear end brothers ha ha. We did have them xb`s steppin! Perhaps a metal gear case is in order. My failure occured on my 3rd tank.

Metal no Maybe more plastic supports to keep weight down.

Also diff oil is really thick looks worn out too . So before this happen for 2 time change the oil for thick motor oil or for 1000wt silicone which lasts 10 hours then garbage.

looks like you guys did some serious driving. But like I always say, we gotta keep those hobby shop folks in business, and looking at these pics, guess time to make some donations to those wonderful folks :) I've reached my quota.

Yeah but I`m temp. out of money this week so no parts for 2 weeks i guess.

Ok Rob do I send it to RP hop ups? I will leave the grease in it,it `s black,so don't get it on your clothes. Like I said I was doing donuts(practiceing for my victory) and a top end run,I swaped gears 25/35.Perhaps I was just to hard on it.Well thats my story and I`m sticking to it.

4th failure

Same problem with the same part . It happen 2 days ago maybe 10 min of run time , so ireplaced this again and today while tryiyng to be careful same thing. No throttle on jumps .

So for today race i used my friend buggy brand new XB and nothing happened . I`m running 30.5 with rear dom and front bowties all around.

Anybody have any issues with rear gearbox enclosure it keeps on breaking and repair time is like 2 hours.

Broke mine today in practice. Replaced it and then broke the replacement in the race. Has anyone figured out a way to brace the chassis? Especially the rear. The pipe lookes like an old aluminum soda can that has been kicked because of the chassis flex. Now broke two diff cases because of chassis flex. Has anyone tried the 7075 gear case. I know they are a little heavier and alot pricier, but the way I see it, if I break 2 or 3 stock cases a week, I can have the 7075 case paid for in no time. Thanks fellas.

Ok here is a cheap fix we did for our xb`s.The plate cost me $3 at grainger. No more broken cases. This was done befor 7075rc came out with the aluminum differential case. I have the front and rear but haven't put them in yet. 100_0459.webp
