Had a differential cup break in half... got the differential out...and apart, and all the greasy gook... but can't pull apart the cup.. it wont come off. Any help?
 
There's a pin holding the diff cup in place. If you're working on the plastic half of the diff, you need to remove the set screw that's located on the side of the housing. After that is removed, slide the pin out through that hole. Here's an exploded view to give you a better idea.

The diff gear will pop off the diff cup shaft. I use needle nose pliers to grib it and then yank it off. Sometimes the pliers slip off. Just keep trying. It'll come off. Also, tapping/smacking the diff on a table pops it off.
