Yesterday I was out racing on the track and I keep throwing the right rear dog bone... I have adjusted the rear end can cannot figure out how that bone keepts coming out.. I'm thinking of putting srings in the cups to help keep the bones centered so they don't keep moving as much. I had this happen with my Savage in the earlier days.. What do you all think... Thanks for any help in this... I would have won yeasterday if I didn't throw that bone on the stright away.... :(

si the bone bent at all? are teh dogbone pins broken? do you have shims on your drive cups?

if the bones arent bent, and if the pins in the dogbones arent broken i would suggest shimming teh diff cups, hope this helps you ;)

LR got a good point, if not bent, or pins messed up, also check the spread of the slots on cups, if worn out or bent out it can cause bones to throw also, if theyre good, then as LR said shim the outdrive cups and wheel cups to make them closer, you didnt mention tho if you put on extended arms, if you did, then that would explain throwing bones, youd have to get longer bones, if this is case, get meaty bones, theyre longer than stockers

forgot about that trick

Check the camber on the car. If its positive you will throw bones also put a small piece of fuel tube in each cup.

I also keep throwing bones on my e revo (too much power lol) i forgot about the fuel line trick:o. I had a tamiya terra crusher that the guy a bought from had done the fuel line trick as he said he was throwing dog bones and it fixed the problem..

the best way to prevent throwing bones is to not use them at all instead use some flm cvd's like i do :D

if i hadn't already got the meaty bones axles i wood have gone with cvds, and if i have to go fix that ever, i willget a set, but these meaty's are almost indestructible, pins are weak part, but i have extra set of pins too, so ill be good for some time i think

OOO i got ball drives in both my marders never a issue. i got traxxas steel upgraded cvds in my e revo "best ones you can get i think". I still have twisted 2 and one pops out every now and then. The stock ones only last maybe 5 min lol and i tearem apart. more power means more fixin i suppose:p!!!

the problem isnt teh cvd's you have the problem is that thay are traxxas (without a doubt one of the worste companies their is out there)

here is what happens to the HD dogbones that come in teh hpi baja 5Bss kit after teh first half tank of fuel after break in (i have actually had 2 of teh hpi hd dogbones fail and they failed in the exact same way which is when i went to the cvd's)

so if you have the HD hpi bones i wouldnt bother and instead would just replace them with somethgn aftermarket.
