rear shock caps

hi gents. is there any way to refurbish or convert this upper caps rear on Baja to extend its life? this is a not-so-old set of shock upper caps and both have massive play up and down. thanks.

Put a peice of heat shrink on the little ball part

They aren't worn out. Baja ball joints are just really sloppy. If you put a piece of heat shrink over the ball the slop goes away.

Or you could just replace the pivot balls with new ones. https://www.davesmotors.com/HPI-86417-10x12mm-Pivot-Ball-Set-4?sc=12 . I'm not sure if theses are the right ones . You would need to verify the part number in the manual.
