Receiver Pack - How Old?

How old is your receiver pack? The NiMH 4500mah pack Im using in my 4wd was with my first marder when I bought it used 6yrs ago. Took it out for a run today with the pack fully charged then home after 3/4 of a tank (about 35mins) and I happened to have my meter handy so out of interest I checked the output from the pack, it was still at 6.67v so still in good condition and performing well

the bugs batt is getting on for 3 odd years now mate still holds a good charge, battery in the on road car is using a new small 2000mah 4xaa nimh low self discharge battery which is great for the on road as its so small compaired to the bugs one

i think nimh batts like ours if treated ok will take up to a 1000 cycles so many years running...usually the terminal bars corrode before the cells give in
