Been toying with picking up a 1/5 scale to leave out at my in-laws ranch for some fun driving.

This vehicle in particular has interested me based on price and features:

Anyway, any opinions on this?

What are some of the misses on the vehicle and fixes to correct those?

I bought my Rampage MT back in June. I have done some upgrades such as a CPI pipe, Hi Tech servos and a 990 carb. I am not new to the R/C world, but this was my 1st 1/5 scale. I cant begin to say what a great platform this truck is and how much I enjoy running it.

I have had mine for over a year, probably 30 plus tanks of fuel through it. I still have two HPI Baja's but I find my self always choosing to play with the MT. First 4wd and those tires pretty much go over anything in front of it. Second it is one of the easiest and fastest RC's to take apart.
The only real down side to it is the actual weight, you won't get any air time with it but other then that it is an absolute blast and well worth the money.

Yes the MT is great fun I have had mine for about 3 years now and have had tons of fun as stated above a tuned pipe is a must because of the heavy tires but it is a solid truck and when the 2 speed comes out it will be real fun to drive.

Thanks for the info.

I picked up one of these that had a variety of upgrades on it, namely the electronics as well as that jetpro pipe.

Did a few shakedown runs and its been quite fun.

Will be giving it a full teardown and rebuilt soon, maybe start a thread on it with my experiences doing this.
