So ever since I picked my redcat up my buddy talks trash all day on them. Saying no matter what I do I won't beat him. So my goal is to beat him I've been modding ever since I picked it up. I've got the Dom pipe, carbon high flow air filter, wt-990 carb,8k clutch and Baja wheels/tires. Also i have the 26cc, He's got the 23cc engine same pipe and thats it. What do you guys think the outcome will be? Should I delete into 2wd for the race? I knew when I got it I wouldn't of stood a chance. But after these mods its like night and day it gets up and goes real quick.

Where are you going to race,on a off road track,or just a straight line race?On a off road track your 4wd should have the advantage to gain out of the corners. On a straight line race he probably will have the advantage less weight and two wheel drive, however if the big guy is smileing you will win. Good luck but don't put up any bread.

One thing to tilt the odds in your favor is to shelve those old fashoned heavy HPI tires- rims with all the steel screws. Buy yourself a set of GRP bulldog front 4 of them. Bulldogs for off road. Easy for pavement. These are sold in sets of 2.- www.fgsupply.com -- The factory- www.grpgandini.it This factory makes more than just the 2 treads mentioned above. - You must have HPI wheel adaptors to run these.- Folks, I have changed so many full scale split rims in my time, just looking at split rims for a r-c car makes my fingers hurt. I am thankful there is another way to go.

So Fat49f1 does have something to do with race out comes....

I think he's the biggest guy here... ;)

i race baja's all the time on a tarmac track, at the moment they cain me on the straights(only on acceleration tho) as there all mostly running ported n tuned engines, and ive still got my stocker 30cc jobby on a 5t cann.

but in the corners its another story, i absolutly SMASH them in the corners, and out brake them by miles!!

on the track its mostly down to who makes the 1st mistake. (when i got all my new bits fitted, engine, pipe, beltdrive, new tyres, i have no doubt in my mind that i will smoke them all) i hope :p

To help with the acceleration I deleted the front wheel drive. And wow! It is a lot faster, I put new hpi bow-ties on the rear and it hooks up pretty good. They still spin but nothing I can't handle in the turns. Also it god rid of probably 3 or so pounds. I'm hopefully gonna have a 3rd person there to film this weekend so I can post it for you guys. But it was a damn near tie! I got him out of the hole pretty good but he slowy caught up twords top end. So I'm gettin rid of this low end pipe and ordering a jetpro v3. Hopefully I can get more top end. He was very suprised to say the least. Just kept sayin he had tuning issues but he was tuning the whole time as was I!

I know so I'm letting him tune it perfect and hopefully my jetpro will be here :) . I was thinking the same thing alll the time with all my buddy's at the track or on the street. I'm a part of blacked out diesel and member in the cummins forum. They ALWAYS have an excuse. And now with my rc's too! Haha
