hello my redcat friends finally got my dune runner and boy she is a beast but having few problems with the break in of the new engine started her up on her first tank and it was idling ok but noticed it was bit high to my ear then took it down my local parc started it took it for a test run and she bogging on throtle and started idling in consistent the will cut out after few seconds but she starts up ok hmmmmmm im guessing carb issue any ideas

ok thanks guys will see if i can sort out the issue tomorrow il vent the tank and play with tuning needles to see if i can get it sorted :)

My 5b was having similar issues. I went back to stock settings from the manual.

Seems to be ok for now ? Weather maybe ? Starting too cool down in MN.

ok friends it seems to be a fuel issue when the tank is full the car runs great as soon as it gets to half a tank the problems start to happen im guessing the fuel line in the tank isnt seated at the bottom or somthing ?

push more fuel line into the grommet, dropping the clunk valve to the bottom. However, another very good possibility is that you need to vent your tank... these trucks have a vacuum because the vent in the fuel cap doesn't work worth poopie.

Sounds like your fuel lines are reversed. Feed line (Line with the filter) goes to the bottom fitting, and the return line goes to the top fitting.

I bet if you loosen the fuel can it will fire right up.

The tank vent is not verry good.

I took a small drill and hand twisted it into the stock hole in the cap.
