My belt drive has arrived.

Despite what they say heat doesn't loosen blue Loctite so I'll be getting the drill out to get the old plate out !!

While I'm at it I'll remove the motor to install a 7075 RC bearing holder on the centre pinion shaft.

Got it fitted along with the alloy bearing holder.

Haven't had time to run it yet though.

Belt drive looks good! Mine has ran beautifully.

Decided to rip my servo apart at a friends today and found a pretty easy fix. Servo works great again.

I've got one with the same problem.

Trouble is in trying to fix it I used too big an iron and desoldered the wires on the other side of the board.

Gave the belt drive a run today.

I highly recommend it.

Neighbours still don't like the Jetpro without the silencer though !

Did you notice anything else with the belt drive besides lower noise?

P.S. Did you remove the silencer?

Better performance all round (both down low and top speed) , belt and bearings run cool all of which I attribute to less friction and therefore less power loss through the drive train.

I had to remove the silencer to take the cage off to replace the centre bearing holder and just haven't got round to putting it back on but I will.

For anyone fitting the 7075 bearing holder you'll find the mounting holes are drilled and tapped 4mm.

My Dr was 5mm from the factory so I tapped holes to that size.

It doesn't come with a gear plate or shafts.

You have to supply your own and it will only work with the square drive gear plate and shafts.

Mine is an HSP and it came with a plastic plate but with the oversized bearings in it so I'm using that for now.

When the bearings let go I'll replace the plate as well.

The plate and bearings are running cool at the moment.
