I had the 1/8 scale crawlers, actually when I purchased mine they didn't even have the 1/10 yet
do you have pics of the modded rockslide.. I want to see how you have the batteries mounted up etc, since you put them on the axles..and why did you go from 100t motors to 55t motors?

The hundred turn motors are basically crap and are way to slow and do not have enough power. the integy motors "wake up" the rig so to speak but thats also why I went with the eight tooth pinions also. I don't have any pics of the batteries mounted to the axles but I can tell you we did about the same thing to the redcat as you would do with an axial, by making a plate for the batteries to sit and screwing it to the axle.

Yep there Redcat option parts along with aluminum arms and many other goodies just like the MT TT aftermarket .

I had to actually call Cameron at Redcat to order my parts, if you look in the manual that comes with the rockslide you will see an option parts list.
I didn't even look @ that yet, thank for the help;)..so far this crawler is pretty awesome, but I could see some more torque like you mentioned above with different motors, and I think 55t will be the trick;)..do you think the stock speed control will be able to handle those?

I've been reading the reviews on this rock crawler and it looks like its doing pretty good. I'm just about convinced to buy one and I think this would be great fun. So you guys that own one haven't had any major problems or issues yet? What kind of upgrades does redcat offer for these?

I'll try the 65's and go from there, I know you can run 2 battery packs on the rockslide, so I'am hoping it should work(fingers crossed) ;)

I just wanted to give an update this thing is still going great on the stock stuff. I ended up blowing a stock servo, no big deal it was replaced under warranty..but other then that I have not changed a thing yet other then the 3 channel radio..

i have two of them, never broke a thing, it will run 3 hrs on a 4500 batt, i have a 1/10th scale comming tomorow, i hope its as good, you cant go wrong tor the price,

I like mine, I'am thinking of going to the lower pinon though I think it needs a little more umph;)..

I bought the redcat rs10.. I'm very happy with it however i did burn up the front motor already. Do to the fact that the hex's that are on the axel's are not machined very well. they got pushed into the bearing and made the front almost immposible to turn by hand...which is not a very big deal just wanted some people to know.. And i'm also having a hard time finding a replacement motor for the truck do to the fact the motor is a smaller size (380). Someone has told me that they make a kit to be able to put the bigger motors on the redcat. Other than that i'm still very happy with the rs10...and would tell other people to buy this truck!! The rs10 is a beast...the 4 wheel steering is a big PLUS. I dominate other comp. trucks with my stock rs10!!
