Reed motor?

It would be for a xb. Would it be too much for the drive train? I only have maybe a 6.5hp motor in mine right now not fully broken in and it's pretty fast. Just curious

Depends on your driving style. You just have to know the limitations If you have a bit of throttle control, it can handle it. It's possible to break drivetrain components with a stock motor.

Gotcha, I tend to be relatively easy on my rcs so it might be a good power upgrade but time will tell cause it's very expensive

What do you think of supercharging a reed motor? I know the rb innovations "blower" isn't the best option but I'm just curious on the idea of it

Best motor

Your money is better spent on a gizmomotors 30.5cc it makes more torque!!! He also has more world records than OBR and that goes for boats as well.

I have the OBR motor and if I was to do my home work first I would have got a RCMK 30.5 from Gizmomotors. These motors Run with BZM and the cost is 1/3 the price!

that is an insane amount of power. you could probably do something with the clutch to give the car a slow start, and that would help the drivetrain.

the gizmomotors 30.5cc seems like better bang for your buck though. it's almost half the price of the reed.

It's called throttle control. ;)

Remember those are peak hp numbers. You need to be above 15k rpm to achieve them.

Most guys will run a much taller ratio with the high power motors. That will give better control on the low end, plus, awesome top speed.

The rcmk 30.5 is a straight up animal I raced it on the track for my first time and I was just blowing by everyone on the straights insane power, did I say insane? I am currently using the jetpro pipe which is a top end pipe with a 9500 spring I need more low-end but when I get the money gonna get a different pipe. Ooh and its in my losi :D

OBR is a good motor but the money and torque numbers show that RCMK is the way to go. I have the OBR motor because I got a good deal on it, other wise I would have went with RCMK. I still my. I love the sound of the twin. But first I'm going to try the FID Racing 2 speed. Yes it's a losi.

The FID is a bit less but it doesn't look as beefy. I have the Demon RC unit in mine. It has worked flawlessly. I have it mounted to the OBR reed case.
