What do you use to remove dried thread lock from bolts? I tried soaking them in acetone but it didn't seem to work. I have some soaking in paint stripper now.

i Just Use A Razor Knife And Wrench... Pinch The Blade Against The Threads And Turn The Bolt. Use The Old Razor Knife Though ;)
I Use A Propain Tourth And A Wire Brush.

Wouldn't you just apply some fresh and tighten the bolt back up?
I have never cleaned the old threadlock off of a bolt, just curious why you would want to that's all.
i was waiting for this but expected it from moo.. couse you NEED to get it off!! it don't hold like the first time. if it keeps building up it will flattin out the threads and could strip.. or maybe its just my o.c.d. and i clean everything:D

Krap, just like I thought, I have been doing it wrong for 10 year's!

Funny thing is I have never had a complaint. lol

OK, I have a question for you guys then, that is how you get it off the bolt how do you get it out of whatever you are threading into, because there is just as much in there as there was on the bolt if not more.
